A Poetic, Mystical & Philosophical Evening with Lekha Washington
The Ladies Study Group (LSG) Jaipur hosted a truly immersive and soulful evening at the Jaipur Rugs Experience Centre, bringing together creativity, poetry, philosophy and mindful living in an experience that was both thought-provoking and deeply personal.
The evening featured acclaimed actor, poet, artist and sculptor Lekha Washington, whose evocative session on “The Art of Rewilding” offered a refreshing perspective on life, individuality and the need to reconnect with our innate selves.
Moving effortlessly between poetry, stories, observations and philosophical reflections, Lekha encouraged the audience to look beyond the structured and conditioned ways in which we experience the world. Her words invited us to pause, question, feel and rediscover the spontaneous, curious and authentic part of ourselves that often gets lost in the routines of everyday life.
What made the evening particularly special was the simplicity of her expression. Her poetry was profound without being complicated, allowing each person to find their own meaning and connect with it in their own way. Through her words, she explored ideas of freedom, vulnerability, creativity, nature and self-discovery, reminding us that perhaps “rewilding” is not about becoming someone new, but about returning to something within us that was always there.

Bringing members together for its first networking session, the evening celebrated a shared sense of community. Set in the 100-year-old heritage villa of Raghuvillas in the heart of Jaipur, it began with a walkthrough of the artistic property, followed by engaging conversations over high tea.
At the heart of the evening was a transformative keynote by Tunvey Gogia, an executive coach and authenticity catalyst, who invited members on a journey inward — encouraging them to reconnect with their authentic selves beyond roles, routines, and expectations, and to rediscover the clarity and confidence to show up fully. Each member left with a tangible takeaway to carry forward beyond the evening.

The Ladies Study Group (LSG), the women’s division of the Indian Chamber of Commerce with a distinguished legacy spanning nearly six decades, marked a significant milestone with the launch of its Jaipur Chapter on 16th April 2026.
The inaugural event brought together an accomplished gathering of women from diverse professional and creative backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to learning, dialogue and meaningful engagement. The evening featured an insightful conversation between Princess Gauravi Kumari and author, historian and entrepreneur Aanchal Malhotra, who explored themes of heritage, identity, leadership and the evolving role of women in shaping contemporary India.
The event was graced by Padma Shri Geeta Chandran as Chief Guest, whose presence and reflections added depth and inspiration to the occasion. Her journey as one of India’s most celebrated classical dancers served as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving cultural traditions while embracing progress and innovation.
The launch of the Jaipur Chapter represents an exciting new chapter in LSG’s journey. Rooted in the organisation’s enduring values and guided by the 2026–27 theme, Connect • Collaborate • Create, the chapter seeks to foster meaningful conversations, encourage the exchange of ideas and perspectives, and build a vibrant community of women committed to personal growth and collective impact.
As LSG establishes its presence in Jaipur, it aims to create a thoughtful platform where women from diverse walks of life can come together to learn, contribute and inspire one another, carrying forward the legacy of LSG while shaping its future.

An enthralling Road Show on 12th January 2026, brought together a group of enterprising women from diverse walks of life.
The National Council, with an engaging audio visual presentation, introduced LSG and its commendable work over the years.
