We were honoured to begin our celebrations on World Handloom Day with the launch of The Little Indian Gamchha Book — authored by the remarkable Jaya Jaitley, a lifelong champion of India’s craft heritage and the visionary behind Dastkari Haat Samiti and Dilli Haat.
This beautifully designed book is a visual tribute to the humble gamchha — a cloth of many meanings, woven with care, dignity, and memory.
With design by Sanjay Garg, the book blends tradition and contemporary expression, much like the fabric itself. A celebration of what is simple, yet deeply significant.
